Reduce the study plan to a written confirmation you can check
A notice published by the Consulate General of China in Dubai on 22 May 2025 states that holders of ordinary Chinese passports valid for at least six months may enter the UAE visa-free for a cumulative stay of no more than 90 days in any 180-day period. This visitor convenience is not student residence, a training permit or work permission; when the course, stay or activity changes, reconfirm the current applicable route with the school, ICP/GDRFA and MOHRE.
When the course and stay require a student-residence arrangement, a language course, education provider, sponsorship arrangement and stay plan cannot be determined from the phrase “Dubai study trip”. The UAE Government student-residence page says a student may be sponsored by a UAE-resident parent or by the accredited university/college at which the student studies, and that universities facilitate the visa process. Obtain the course title, campus, start and end dates, weekly pattern, inclusions and documents the school can issue; do not treat visitor visa exemption as school sponsorship.
Put course, stay and funding on one timeline
Place course start, housing check-in, flight arrival, course end and return date together. If a course is short, do not import experience from a longer study or work arrangement. If the plan extends, do not let the first short-course quotation substitute for updated documents. Funding records should show who pays tuition, housing, transport and daily living, and how payments match the school invoice.
Work, internship and study are different questions
A student visa, language study, internship, volunteer activity and paid employment are not the same entitlement. The UAE Government states that a standard work visa is applied for by the employer. MOHRE’s “Training and Work Permit for Students” is a service for a Ministry-registered establishment to apply to train or employ an eligible student already in the UAE. A course marketed as “career”, “business” or “employment support” does not establish permission to work independently. Whether an activity is paid, who arranges it, where it happens and the person’s status can all matter. Until applicable written confirmation exists, do not sign work documents, accept payment or pay a supposed placement fee.
Recheck once at submission and once before arrival
At submission, retain the date the official page was checked, the school confirmation, payment evidence, housing and flight plan; answer any request for further material truthfully. Before departure, recheck passport, entry documents, school registration, housing reception and emergency contacts. Rules, processing times and document formats can change, and current written answers outrank social media, old guides or another person’s case.
