Sydney uses Transport for NSW, Melbourne uses PTV and Perth uses Transperth; Brisbane, Gold Coast and Cairns have different operator arrangements again. Never carry one city’s ticket, airport-link or last-service rule into another city.
Save airport arrival and housing commute separately
Save one route from airport/station to housing for arrival day and another from housing to campus for study days. Luggage, late frequency and weekend service affect them differently; for a minor or late arrival, confirm a formal school transfer or safe alternative.

Call 000 for an immediate threat to life or safety. Use state, insurer and campus formal channels for non-emergency health, insurance, housing and school support; travel advice and social platforms are not medical or safety decisions.
Phone, payment and biosecurity information
Check phone plans, bank security and medicines/food carried through the telecommunications provider, bank and Australian Border Force official pages respectively. Avoid unverified agent links, especially on public devices handling passport or financial information.
The daily commute check order
Read the local operator’s real-time disruption and weather risk first, confirm the final return, then retain school and housing addresses offline. A running bus does not prove a school has adjusted a class or activity, so read school notices too.
